Mathilda Louisa Sodergren was the fourth child in the family, and was also born in Sweden, coming to this country at the age of 19 months. She grew up in the New Sweden home and married Mr. Fred Kroeger. They spent their married life in Burlington where Fred worked for the CB and Q Railroad. Tillie died at the young age of 33. Fred remarried in 1912 and continued to live in Burlington. He worked for the railroad for over 40 years, and retired to become secretary and club manager for the Moose Lodge in Burlington. This couple found rest at the Aspen Grove Cemetary in Burlington, IA.
