Aged Olds lady passes away

Gertrude Hauenstein, was born Feb. 19, 1846 and passed from this life Dec. 17, 1928 at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 8 days.

She was born in Canada and spent the first eighteen years of her life there. She then came to Iowa, and has made her home near Olds ever since.

On Sept.17, 1867 she was united in marriage to John Hauenstein, who proceeded her in death some 33 years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Hauenstein made their home near Olds, and Mrs. Hauenstein remained
on the farm until three years ago when she took residence in Olds.

At an early age she accepted Christ as her Saviour, and became a member of the Methodist Evangelical church at Center. Later she became a follower of Christian Science.

To this union six children, five of whom remain to mourn her loss.

Olds News: Mrs. Gertrtude Haunstein passed away at her home here Thursday night. The funeral was held from the home Sunday afternoon. Interment at Center Cemetary.
