Red barn in the distance is all that remains of the Peter Nickolaus farm
Farm just north of Olds, Iowa in Winfield Township. Take 218 North from Olds. Turn east on 105th street. The farm is on the South side of the road just west of Lexington Ave. All that is left is the big red barn. NOTE: Barn was bulldozed and burned on 3-15-09. Peter and Mary Nickolaus attended a church just to the west of this farm. All that is left at the location is Asbury Cemetery.

Top 1948 - Bottom 1998 - This farm is just to the West of Nicholaus farm above, North side of road. In 1923 August and Carrie had their farm sale and moved to the town of Olds with their two daughters.
